Budget minded ideas for your wedding

Wedding Dresses
My old favorite from the days of my wedding.  Even if you do not buy your dress at David's.  Go down with all your Bridesmaids and enjoy trying on different styles.  Be prepared as it's hard not to find something.  It is in Burlington, Washington.  They have a huge selection of Brides dresses, Maids dresses, shoes, jewellery.  They also have a great website.

Don't be afraid of Carnations!
Most of the world class florists use them in there designs.  Not always in bouquets but definitely in table centers, altars, entryway etc.  Here is a picture of Carns in a bouquet.

Don't be afraid of Baby's Breathe!
It was bound to happen.  It's making a comeback.  Check out these fantastic Bridesmaids bouquets by Angies Roost.  This is definitely on a budget, yet very high end when done the right way.

Beautiful doesn't have to be BIG!
Early July I did a wedding with two great budget ideas.  The table center included something they loved, books wrapped in their colours.  Plus something beautiful that I provided, a single big bloom in a rental 4x4" vase with crystal beads and a stem of ruskus.  It was simply stunning.

The Brides Mom made cones of thick embossed paper approx 3" wide at the top.  I provided two stems of alstro in water tubes to sit in the cones.  It looked fantastic and was very inexpensive considering the impact.  Alstro comes in many colours.

Cool idea instead of small gifts for guests
Why not add a little tropical romantic flare to your wedding by delivering small amounts of rose petals to each guest with dessert in your colours.  Either in an egg cup, small bowl, silk bag or on the dessert plate.  The velvety feel of rose petals will add a tactile sensation to your wedding that will be remembered.  A rose between two people means your gift is $1.50 per person - you can't beat that.

Cool favor idea
Ask your photographer to ensure they get a picture of each
guest/couple/family.  When you send your thank you card.
Include this picture with the thank you card.  We did it at our
wedding and even today, years later, I see them framed on
friends mantles.  It brings it all back.
